Ring of Brodgar

This circle of upright stones is outstanding, especially in the middle of a down pour of rain. Yesterday we took a ferry to the Orkney Islands, where we are staying for the next week. This picture was taken when it was just raining. Shortly after, the wind picked up and it got too cold to photograph. By the end of the day I was soaked from my waist down even though I had carried an umbrella the entire time.
